Annual Shady Glen Chili Cook-off, All may enter…
Nov 12th @ Shady Glen Club, 1504 Riverside Dr Prospect, KY 40059
**Rain or Shine, We will have cover space and electric for all entrants**
Gates open @ noon $5 (Contestants may want to be 30min earlier), $5 – gets you in to taste it all and judge fan favorite
* We will have an Angel Tree Chili pot, get you a cup and throw a dollar towards the Angel Tree Christmas kids*
** Note to all Contestants: You will want to create enough chili for 2-3 dozen samples (1 -2oz) and 6 Judges to sample (16oz). **
Entry (Yes, you can enter both)
Red Chili $10 (Red appearance, Tomato or Tomato sauce base CHILI)
“Anything But” $10 (Anything but “RED Chili” ex: White Chili, Soup, Stew, Gravy, corn bread, etc…)
Judging will begin
1pm for “Anything but red chili” (Judging entry will be collected @ 12:50pm),
Approx 1:30 for Red Chili (Judging Entry will be collected @ 1:20pm)
Prizes:
Red Chili: 1st/2nd/3rd
Anything But: 1st/2nd
Crowd Favorite: 1st
Judging Panel: a couple of local celebrities, Local Chefs and Shady Glenn members & Shady Ladies.
Yes, We will have some raffle items. And as always BYOB is encouraged!
