    • March 18:            Night at the Races  
      • $10-members, $20-nonmembers
    • July 20:                 Poker Run

    • Meetings
      • Smitty will host another meeting, possibly May
    • Christmas Party possibilities
      • Rent a hotel party room, everyone get rooms, next morning have breakfast or  Bloody Marys by the pool
      • Boat Club
      • Not sure if Hunting Creek can do it, may have broken up party room into smaller space. If anyone has a contact to find out more information, get in touch with Laura Lucas
    • Bowling Night
    • Gathering budgets for where we can go. Checking different venues to accommodate 150.
  • Safety
    • Be a good steward. Check your boat and others’ boats. Check that bilge isn’t running all the time. Let people know you are keeping eye on boats and docks. Help other boaters out, especially new ones.
    • Using heaters and pulling more electricity could contribute to fires. Be safe

    • Kathy turned 58 today! Happy Birthday!

      • Door opens at 5
      • Cash bar
      • Will be limited to 130 people
      • Janine McIntosh will take RSVPs, pay her
      • Food provided
      • Betting windows open at 5, bring bills smaller then 100 for betting
      • Will be an auction
      • Racing begins at 6, with 30 minute intervals between races
      • 9:00 Winner’s Circle Auction. Those horses will take position on track according to what race they won
      • Sponsorships    
        • 7 races @ $150 each
      • Horse Owners: 36 horses (6 horses per race) @ $30 each– pick the name of your horse and put your name on it. 50% of purse comes back to you.
      • Contributions throughout the night to sponsors
      • Owner needs to be sure they have a jockey on the horse. If HCBOA has to put a jockey on the horse then get 100%
      • Race 7 – 6 horses will be auctioned off, then new owner has to put a person on the horse
        • Pull the $100 out for this!
      • Will have a St Patrick Day costume contest, winner will get a very valuable prize
      • Horses are not drug tested
    • Setup is around 2, and help is covered. Laura has décor covered
  • Good and Welfare
    • Split the pot – Kathy (birthday girl) drew the winner – Denise Perkins – wins 86
